Usually my MO here is to pick a particular day each week to talk more about. First, because it allows me to dig deeper into ideas for basic practical magic for you to try (goal: give people the tools to do more magic). In addition, full disclosure, I’m trying to get exposure for my Membership (goal: grow Circle Thrice as a business).
This week though, I want to talk about thematic magic. Sometimes the planner will point to a day and say “do this spell here, now!” but other times it highlights themes across time. It might suggest a weekend for linked enchantments around getting right with your sense of personal power and coming to terms with the power of others. Or a week where you can do a bunch of magical spring cleaning (closing old enchantments, cleaning house and altars, building family connections, starting healthy habits).
These are great when they appear because they are such magical power boosters! And this week is one of those. It’s a week where there are lots of opportunities to start fresh and kick off new projects.
First of all, Saturday the 17th (the last day of the prior week) is a Planning day, which I talked about here:
Sunday of this week is the new moon and after a lunation of eclipses, it’s a nice day to kick off a fresh new month with some kind of regular daily practice (yes, I have a rite for that, but you can do anything!). The following day is for implementing strategy for all that planning you did on Saturday. And then we have the Solstice, which — regardless of hemisphere — is a great day to reset things for the second half of the year. There’s also a day for household protection and a day for divination (again for the rest of the year). I’ll be renewing all my household protection (for me this is ancestral wooden spoons and iron keys and crystal glass witch balls).
Consider making it a theme week of multiple magical workings!
