Bonus newsletter for the kickoff of Q4.
In addition to the monthly planner / weekly pages, I also put out a quarterly calendar. This calendar includes transits for the seven astro-bodies (Sun, Moon, and the five core planets) as well as retrogrades, lunations, eclipses, and dignity by sign.
For example, in October, Mercury starts well-dignified in Virgo but quickly moves into Libra. Mars and the Sun both start off ill-dignified in Libra until mid-month when they both move into Scorpio — where Mars is ruler and the Sun, at least, is not actively afflicted. In the same week, Venus moves into fall in Virgo and there are a few days when both Venus and Mars are ill-dignified and unhappy.
In addition to being using for long-range planning in general, these are also things that go into my assessment of whether or not a particular day is good or bad for magic. And while the monthly planners include a detailed day-by-day analysis, there’s an overall trend in the next quarter that looks a bit like this:
Obviously, this is trend chart only. There’s lots of bouncing around on a day by day basis and there are usually auspicious and inauspicious days in every week. But overall things have been a little rough for magic starting with the September equinox. During the latter part of October we see more days that are auspicious and this trend continues through November (Venus and Mars well-dignified and balancing an ill-dignified Mercury), which is nice because we get another down turn in mid-December (ill-dignified Venus, Mercury retrograde and unhappy, etc.).
So what do you do with this information? Well, if you are an inner circle member, you can look through the calendar and planners in order to find the best days for enchantments based on your Q4 goals (and take the free M.A.G.I.C Goals course if you don’t have any). If not, you can mitigate the overall trends by doing more magic starting mid-October and then wind down for a break ahead of the December solstice.
A final reminder that I’m filling out the last of the small group circles for a kick off next week, so this is your last chance to join. Learn more and sign up, you won’t be charged until the circle fills and we kick things off.
