This coming week has a lot of auspicious days for enchantment, which I think raises an important point regarding the newly retrograde Venus in Leo… Just because there’s something challenging or difficult in the current astrology doesn’t mean you should stop doing magic. In fact, sometimes you should even be doing more magic!
Sure Venus retrograde might be messing with your relationships (of various types) or leaving you a blubbering mess or alternately a fiery ball of righteous rage. She might be prodding you do explore your desires or bitch-slapping you until you get the point. That all depends on your own chart and life and so forth. But while we all have navigate our way through this particular landscape, we can still be enchanting our asses off along the way.
This week includes auspicious days for household protection, healing and protection for children, and applying authority (as long as you do it gently). It also kicks off on Sunday with a really nice day for doing inner journeying.
Sunday is the Hygromanteia lunar day for “diving with a vessel” (that’s what hygromanteia means by the way) and this typically lends itself to divination of one kind or another. This particularly Sunday has our sun in Leo and Mercury square Uranus. That suggests that instead of outward facing divination, you’d want to lean into that Venus Rx in Leo energy to look at yourself. This might include:
Psychological/inner divination (what am I feeling, what am I not seeing about myself, what does my higher self want to tell me)
Desire work (RuneSoup desire journey, automatic writing on the theme of desire, omen petitions on making my desires clear to me)
Introspection/self examination (how do I want to be in the world, what do I long to build or manifest, how do my values inform my plans)
Sundays are frequently magical days for me (double Leo, born on a Sunday, plus my schedule is usually free) so I will be leaning into this day as part of my Venus Rx workings. My plan is to use Sphere and Sundry’s Fomalhaut for the more magical activities and Luna in Cancer for some evening journeying work / dream work.
Note: as part of my collaboration with Sphere + Sundry, I’ll be including materia recommendations like this (and Inner Circle Members will get results reports!) but remember, even if you don’t have something I recommend, you should still do the magic. Always do the magic!
Which is my original point: don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good! Yes, there are occasions to keep your head down and do nothing, but mostly you should be enchanting your life at every opportunity. Do what you can, with what you’ve got, where you are (Squire Bill Widener of Widener’s Valley, Virginia).
That should have said DIVINING with a vessel.
