Headless Part One

June 8-14: Solstice-headless rite days

This week has the first of three days in June that are aligned for the Headless Rite. The Full Moon in Sagittarius, overnight between the 10th and 11th, is the first. This timing is for battling your demons and slaying the parts of yourself that are harmful to your unity or integration. The king is dead, ling live the king. Appropriate for the third decan of Gemini as we move toward the June Solstice.

The Moon also conjoins Ras Alhague (Asclepius), the healer star. The work of fighting demons and inner monsters naturally pairs with healing the places where those shadows have harmed us in the past.

I’ve been on a Jungian shadow work journey for a while now and it’s recently ramped up significantly. In fact, I expect to spend a bit of time in late June and July on this (Cancer is in my 12th house).
